Sydney Composites is an Australian advanced composite manufacturing specialist working across aerospace, defence, and motorsport. From our Wetherill Park facility we deliver fabrication, repair, and research and development programs for clients at the highest level and we're progressing toward AS9100 and ISO 9001 certification as we grow our defence and aerospace capabilities.

We're looking for people who want real technical scope, engineers who want to see their designs leave the drawing board, technicians who take pride in a clean lay-up, and apprentices who want to learn a trade that's actually going somewhere.

APPRENTICESHIPS

Our composites technician apprenticeship is a hands-on pathway into a trade with real career relevance. You'll train under our senior technicians, learning wet lay, infusion, and pre-preg laminating processes, along with carbon fibre and fibreglass repair, de-moulding, and trimming parts bound for aerospace, defence, and motorsport programs.

As you progress, you'll take on more complex fabrication and repair work, learn to read and work from engineering drawings, and build the judgement to troubleshoot problems.

What we look for:

  • A genuine interest in the trade and a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable working with your hands and keen to learn technical processes
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to take direction from senior technicians
  • An eye for detail and pride in a clean finish
  • Room to grow into a senior technician or team leader role over time
